Frank Grillo moves to DC. What’s wrong with Marvel?
Frank Grillo, who has starred in the Marvel movies as Crossbones, has confirmed he’s moving on to the competition. The actor admitted that he was disappointed with how his character’s fate would turn out in the MCU, and therefore accepted the offer of James Gunn and Peter Safran, the new heads of DC Films.

Frank Grillo wanted to play Crossbones for a while longer

They never told his storyGrillo said of the Crossbones character in the MCU. The mythology of the Marvel universe and the characters that inhabit it run very deep. Crossbones appeared there for a while, although he was supposed to stay longer. But in the end they went in a different direction.

Remember, Crossbones dies in “Captain America: Civil War” by detonating a bomb intended to kill Captain America in an act of suicide.

Frank Grillo Joins Creature Commandos?

Rumors arose about Frank Grillo moving to DC after he appeared on the premiere of “Shazam! Wrath of the Gods” with Ron Perlman at the time. It is speculated that both actors have been cast as members of the Creature Commandos.

In February, when Creature Commandos was announced, it was revealed that it would be a seven-episode animated series written by James Gunn, which is currently in production. This is a modern take on the story of DC’s forgotten heroes – classic monsters from the horror world who fight the Nazis. Producers are looking for a voice crew who will, if necessary, reprise their roles in the live-action feature film.

Of course, Grillo wouldn’t be the first actor to change comic club colors. Just remember, for example, JK Simmons, who played both J. Jonah Jameson in Marvel and Commissioner Gordon in DC.

However, before we get to see “Creature Commandos,” there are still a few more films made by the former DC director: “Flash,” “Blue Beetle,” and this week’s “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom:”
