The peak of a woman’s career comes when she is 20-30 years old. Men rise at the age of 40-50 yearsThe actress developed the theme. Male celebrities like to look younger than they actually are or be attractive to younger audiences, so they always want to have younger screen partners. This is why women in their forties and fifties are not represented. They are considered old for being a companion.
Davis added that actresses in their fifties rarely get major roles, make up 20% of the characters we see on screen and are usually supporting characters.
