Isaiah 13:3-5
God's people faced Babylon's army. There seemed to be no hope. But God declared that He would fight the enemy with greater spiritual strength than anything Babylon could muster. With weapons more powerful than anything on Earth.
He called him “strong men“Against Babylon, and against all who dare to defy her, to accomplish her purposes. Nations may gather against God and His people. Against these forces, God “Reviews the army intended to fight.”
This is a clear example of spiritual warfare in action, the moments when God encouraged His people to see the world through their eyes. These are the moments when the Israelites faced the armies of Aram. Failure seemed inevitable. Like many in Israel, Elisha's servant was pessimistic.
But Elisha saw the situation with spiritual eyes and told his servant. Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
Then he prayed and God opened the servant's eyes and he saw it.All around Elisha the mountain was filled with horses and chariots of fire” (2 Rois 6.15-17) Aram's army was struck blind and the enemy was completely defeated.
Remember that you are engaged in spiritual warfare. To win, you must fight with spiritual weapons. As Paul wrote, “The weapons with which we fight are not human, but they are mighty and, thanks be to God, will pull down strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10.4)
Do not give in to doubt or discouragement, and do not allow the enemy to defeat you. Seek spiritual discernment from God and fight in the Spirit! Remember: God is on your side. May you achieve victory with his weapons!
EHear the voice of God
Do you sometimes feel powerless in the midst of powerful opponents? Take time to listen to what God wants to say to you about this.
Prayer is simple. Talk to God like your best friend. God loves you and can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer: “Daddy, I want you. Help me to be strong in spirit. I will wear the full armor you give me. Give me reason. Help me fight with your spiritual weapons. Amen.“
LSenior Diu
To praise God is to show our gratitude to Him. Today you can take a moment to thank him because he came to help you in the past. God will watch over you today and until the end of your life because He promised and He always keeps His promises!
AAct today
How are you going to implement what God has told you now? Write down at least one concrete action you can take today. If nothing comes to you, lift your head, re-read the quoted Bible passage and declare that you too are a mighty warrior for God!
HRespect God
Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
,“Thank you, my God, with you I fear no enemy ! Thine be the kingdom and the power and the glory, Amen !”
