Google is known for many things. One of them is that the company launches new services and projects every now and then to kill them after a while. Soon a similar fate will meet YouTube Go. The app will stop working in August 2022.

What is YouTube Go? This is amazing A lighter version of the YouTube app for Android phones on a budget. It was devoid of some functions, thanks to which it worked better on devices with lower specifications and in the case of a poor-quality Internet connection.
As the YouTube team explains in an official statement, the demand for this type of app version is expected to be much lower today than it was in 2016, when it debuted. So it was decided to close it. Existing YouTube Go users are encouraged to use a standard app or web browser instead.
