Stefan Kraft won the second individual competition in Lake Placid. The Austrian, of course, is still the World Cup leader. Between white and red, Aleksandar Znieszczul ranks highest, at 22nd place.
Stefan Kraft has so far collected 1,236 points and is 209 points ahead of second-place Andreas Wellinger. Ryoyu Kobayashi is in third place, 215 points behind Stefan Kraft. This means that the Japanese are closing in on the Germans, which promises to be a great battle for second place.
From Poland, Piotr Żyła, who was very close to the first podium in the 2023/2024 Ski Jumping World Cup season, advanced to the second series. The 37-year-old finished fourth and is 24th in the general classification.
Aleksander Znieszczul finished the competition in ninth place with 200 points, placing him 24th in the World Cup. It is worth noting that this was the 29-year-old's fourth competition in the top 10.
Kamil Stoch ranked 24th on Sunday and 28th in the overall standings, while Davut Kubacki ranked 29th in the competition, and in the World Cup he ranked 26th.
Now the Ski Jumping World Cup is moving to Asia. The following weekend (February 17-18) competitors will compete in Sapporo.
