During the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, the Poles won new medals. Barbara Bieganowska-Zając won the 1500m. It was her fourth Olympic medal, having previously won in Sydney (2000, 800m), London (2012, 1500m), and Rio de Janeiro (2016, 1500m). He also won a bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Rio (400m).
Natalia Bartica – Carolina Bock triumphed in the team competition in table tennis. In our struggle to win the Olympics, he defeated Australian duo Yang Qian and Li Li Na, who had previously won gold medals in one in Seasons 10 and 9.
In the doubles, the Poles defeated their rivals 3-2, in the singles competition, Bartica Qian countered his defeat in the semi-finals of the singles tournament and won 3-0, giving the Polish team gold. For Bartika, it is the sixth Olympic gold medal in his career.
We also have a brown disc. Maciej Lepiato finished third in the high jump competition. The Polish athlete earned 2.04 m, which brought him to the podium.
It was a good day to compete in the Tokyo Olympics. The Poles moved from 27th to 21st place in the medal standings. We have 5 gold, 6 silver and 11 bronze “discs”.
