Despite many years of waiting for the official announcement of GTA 6, Rockstar is in no hurry with the show. The developers are focused on the development of GTA Online, and one of the sources notes that over the entire generation we can see only one new show from the authors of Grand Theft Auto.
Rockstar is a very experienced studio that has built itself up for many years of its activity and has become famous for developing the Grand Theft Auto series, but their portfolio also includes brands such as Max Payne, Manhunt, Bully and Red Dead.
If we look at the team’s publication calendar, we notice that during the entire previous generation, the company introduced only one new game: Red Dead Redemption 2. In recent years, the studio has dealt with the port of GTA 5 and the development of GTA Online.
We will likely see a similar turn of events in the next generation. AccountNGT has talked about Rockstar’s plans – insiders were the first to mention the Star Wars Eclipse production.
During a question-and-answer session, the informant advertiser, which – which „If we are talking about new games, I think only GTA 6 will be released.”. It is said that the developers are only focusing on one component, although more ports and improved versions are appearing on the market.
In 2022 we can expect to announce the next release of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Redemption Remake, But the informant is not sure that the products will be launched in the next 12 months.
The release of one game in a generation seems unimaginable to many large teams, but it must be remembered that GTA Online is still very popular and achieves results that allow the studio to focus almost exclusively on this project.
As a reminder, this is what Rockstar’s publishing calendar looks like:
