Dua Lipa in a Disney show?
This rumor was uncovered by DisInsider. Dua Lipa has reportedly not begun negotiations with Disney yet, as she is simply on a list of people the studio would like to see in the role of Megara. If the Ariana Grande rumor is also true, then Disney’s decision-makers clearly see the singer in the role.
Dua Lipa doesn’t have much acting experience. We can see it in an episode in “Barbie” And in a supporting role alongside Henry Cavill in the show “Argyle – the secret spy”.
In the 1997 film “Hercules”, Megara was a reluctant collaborator with Hades who was supposed to seduce Hercules, but she genuinely fell in love with him.

“Hercules”: Guy Ritchie joins the Russo Brothers
The film’s producers are Joe and Anthony Russo (Avengers: Endgame), and Guy Ritchie (Aladdin) was supposed to be behind the camera. The director is said to have dropped this project, but it has not been officially confirmed yet.
The brothers announced that they did not intend to make a remake in the style of “The Lion King,” shot by shot, or an overly faithful version like “Beauty and the Beast.”. I think there is always something new to add -Anthony Russo explains- From our point of view, filming a verbatim remake wouldn’t be very interesting. We work the same way with Marvel movies. We don’t make literal adaptations of comic books because we believe that if you want to know the story, you can read the comic book. We’ll give you a different story. I think we will make a film in the original style, inspired by it, but we will add something of our own.
The first version of the script for the new “Hercules” was written by Dave Callaham (“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”, “Mortal Kombat”). Apparently his script was not received very warmly, as the Russians are currently looking for additional screenwriters.
The original “Hercules” hit theaters in 1997, grossing a quarter of a billion dollars worldwide. Inspired by Greek mythology, the animated musical tells the story of a young man with superhuman strength. The boy learns that his father is Zeus himself – the most powerful of the gods. To reach Olympus, Hercules must prove that he is a true hero, worthy of his divine lineage. So set off with your faithful Pegasus in search of Philoctetes – the legendary trainer of heroes. Thanks to his teachings, he gained fame and the love of the masses by performing many heroic deeds. During his travels, he meets the beautiful Megara, with whom he falls madly in love. But Hercules soon falls into the trap of his evil uncle Hades, ruler of the underworld, who is preparing to overthrow Zeus and assume rule of Olympus.
