Here’s what FEQ leaders ate and what they did at the new artists’ village set up behind the Plains of Abraham.

The leaders of the Quebec Summer Festival were “fascinated” by the new artists’ village set up behind the Plains of Abraham, among other things, where they could play ping-pong or get their feet wet like the Colombian J Balvin. In an inflatable swimming pool requested by Mötley Crüe. But best of all, they were able to order and taste sushi, wraps, salads and poutine in an environment worthy of a true food fair.

Thomas Casald, co-owner of Colibri, Sushibox, Hono Izakaya and Hono Ramen restaurants, says the Ontario artist’s talk frequented the artists’ village during the first five days of the summer festival.

In total, four restaurants, Colibri, Hono Ramen, Hono Izakaya and Sushibox, were accessible to artists, in addition to a canteen for late-night munchies.

Seated at the Dôme bar, he prepared his surprise appearance with the band Nickelback to open the festival.

“We saw him chatting with Chad [Kroeger] And they started singing a cappella [la chanson Rockstar] It was a surreal moment. They are there […] An hour later, they are singing the same song in front of 70,000 people! says the restaurant.

The Doc singer took the stage to perform “Rockstar” with members of Nickelback. The two artists prepared by singing a cappella backstage at the Plains of Abraham.

Mac n cheese and fried chicken for 50 cents

New this year, private chef Patrick Landry of Sushibox and Colibri was commissioned to fulfill special requests from artists.

According to him, the singer Yes at the club The 49-year-old requested a “very American” meal that included several dishes of macaroni and cheese, along with chicken wings, fried chicken and Caesar salad, which he wanted to enjoy in the company of his “huge group.” Changing room.

Many of the dancers who accompanied singer 50 Cent chose dishes from Colibri, this bowl composed of salad, among others, falafel.

For their part, the Nickelback Canadians requested a “highly restricted” menu that included chicken salad and olive oil due to team members’ allergies and intolerances.

Requesting a gluten-free meal, Zac Brown enjoyed a steak with raw vegetables, the chef notes.

Afterwards, the Jonas Brothers enjoyed a special menu featuring brown rice, green vegetables, chicken and grilled salmon. The chef mentions that Nick, the youngest brother in the group, is diabetic and needs to eat this dish during recess.

Post Malone “Changes” in Sushi

“A big fan of Asian food,” American singer Post Malone had the chance to eat sushi before going on stage during the festival’s biggest evening.

“He was especially happy,” says Thomas Casald, though this food option is rare in the world of festivals.

“His tour director came to see us and couldn’t believe the site, the food and the site. He told us it was better than Coachella,” says Thomas proudly.

Michael Rivard touched on the name of his cocktail

Michael Rivard, who closed the summer festival at the Parc de la Francophonie, was very emotional during his visit to the Dome.

As he was perusing the cocktail menu prepared by mixologist Julian Vezina, he was surprised to see one of them had that name. I want to see the seaReminds me of his 1987 hit song.

Alexandra Strelisky is admired by her peers

Crowds swarmed backstage before Alexandra Strelisky’s performance. Many classical musicians came with their families, including about thirty members of the Quebec Symphony Orchestra.
