The Lord of the Rings universe will soon be expanded with another production. Electronic Arts will offer gamers the next spot in a well-known IP, and today we can watch the first trailer showing the gameplay of The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth.
Electronic Arts has been developing big games set in the world of JRR Tolkien for years, but the next offering won’t be coming to consoles or PC. The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth is a mobile site developed by EA Capital Games.
The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth will be released on May 10 And it will be Elektronik’s first production in this IP since 2009 – the latest trailer shows off some of the gameplay and menu.
In the game, we will go through the story campaign, participate in PVP duels, and during the game we will meet heroes from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. The authors prepared a turn-based combat system, and taking into account the business model (free-to-play), we can also expect microtransactions.
The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth is one of five productions from this universe currently in development – the second confirmed title is the upcoming The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.
