Last week, Phil Spencer announced that he would be meeting with Hideo Kojima’s team – and we didn’t have to wait long for a photo report of his visit to Japan. Representatives of the American company not only checked the status of work on the new project.
Last year, Hideo Kojima visited a Microsoft event and confirmed the collaboration aimed at developing an exclusive game for Xbox. Since the speech, we’ve seen several shorter statements, and it’s no secret that Death Stranding 2 (2024) will likely debut first, which is why we may encounter reports about production arriving on PlayStation 5 more often.
Phil Spencer has already announced that during his visit to Tokyo Game Show, he and his team will meet with the Japanese developer to check on the “progress of the project.”
The team representing Xbox, including Phil Spencer, Sarah Bond and Aaron Greenberg, visited Kojima Productions. In addition, guests visited Kanda Shrine – a Shinto temple located in Chiyoda in Tokyo, Japan.

As you can see in the photos, spirits were high, and the game designer received an eye-catching Starfield backpack as a souvenir. Earlier, the Japanese admitted that he was checking out the new Bethesda game.
Currently we do not know the details of the developed project. However, there is no doubt that Microsoft is monitoring this situation.
