Last year, Avalanche Software launched Hogwarts Legacy (Hogwarts Legacy in the Polish version) – initially, the version was available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. After a few months, there were versions on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and finally in the fall of 2023 they were joined by a version on Nintendo Switch. Warner Bros Discovery has already boasted about its financial results several times, but the latest results look really impressive. Hogwarts Legacy hasn't lost any of its popularity.
Warner Bros Discovery has confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy has sold 24 million copies. At the same time, Avalanche Software has confirmed work on new elements for the game. In addition, this summer an additional mission will be available on other platforms, which was previously only available on PlayStation consoles.
Hogwarts Legacy is selling like hotcakes – sales revenue has already exceeded $1 billion
On the occasion of the release of the latest financial report, the head of Warner Bros Discovery, David Zaslav, confirmed the results of the latest games: Hogwarts Legacy and Mortal Kombat 1. The first has already sold 24 million copies on all platforms. The result is undoubtedly impressive, especially since Hogwarts Legacy managed to beat even the latest Call of Duty. On the one hand, this should not surprise us given the undiminished popularity of the brand created by JK Rowling. In turn, the second game mentioned above – Mortal Kombat 1 – has sold 3 million copies since its premiere in September.
