Home invasion in Quebec: Two were taken to hospital

A man and a woman in their twenties were taken to hospital after they were violently assaulted by several people who entered their home.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a church in the Saint-Sacramento district of Quebec. At 12:45 a.m. he was first called to intervene in the incident, when the Quebec City Police (SPVQ) realized the scale of the incident.

SPVQ spokeswoman Sandra Dion explains, “Many of the suspects were assaulted in their twenties, two men and one woman.

If there was no fear for their lives, they were both taken to hospital for treatment for injuries.

Quickly, the Judicial Identity Unit and investigators were dispatched to the scene. The 24-year-old suspect has been arrested and will be met by investigators.

He is due to be arraigned on video conference on Saturday, and faces charges of trespassing, assault with a weapon, assault with a weapon and assault with intent to cause injury.

However, SPVQ is continuing to investigate other attacks related to this issue.
