The new site appeared in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden on September 20. Then the linear TV channels Paramount + Series and Paramount + Movies changed their name to SkyShowtime 1 and SkyShowtime 2. Paramount + Series and Paramount + Movies in the Nordic countries changed their name to SkyShowtime 1 and SkyShowtime 2.
SkyShowtime features premieres from Hollywood productions from Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures, old movies from both studios, and products from brands like Sky Studios, MTV, Nickelodeon, Peacock, Paramount+, DreamWorks Animation and Showtime. In the United States, Great Britain and Ireland, Paramount Global launched the Paramount+ platform.
How much does SkyShowtime cost?
When converting the subscription to PLN, the monthly subscription price in the Netherlands is PLN 33.50, while in Portugal the cost of a subscription is PLN 24. The Swedes have to pay 79 CZK, which is about 34.69 PLN. The new platform will be available on devices running Apple iOS, tvOS, Android, Android TV, Google TV and WebOS (LG). It will also be possible to use the website via a web browser.
In the first quarter of 2023, SkyShowtime will debut in PolandAlbania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Czech Republic, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Hungary. Prices are not yet known, but they are expected to be close to the price in Portugal or even slightly lower. Although the average salary in this country is lower than in Poland, the fees for streaming services are higher than on the Vistula River. For example, Disney + costs 8.99 euros per month, which is about 43 zlotys (we have 28.99 zlotys). The standard Netflix plan costs €11.99, or roughly 57 PLN (43 PLN in Poland).

SkyShowtime in our part of Europe is not an easy task, as it enters the market on all major platforms – Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max and Disney +. “Following a successful launch in Scandinavia last month, we are delighted to be able to debut in more European markets,” said Monty Sarhan, President of SkyShowtime.
