Canal+, which in the past focused on satellite platforms, has implemented and developed broadcast services in other markets in recent years. In France, MyCanal, in Poland, since May 2020, offers Canal + online. In March 2022, the Canal + platform was created with, among other things, launched in Austria on the first Canal +. Now is the time for our southern neighbors.
Until recently, in order to take advantage of the company’s offer, they had to subscribe to the Skylink digital platform (belonging to the Luxembourgian M7 group, acquired by Canal + in 2019). Now the Canal + service is also offered in a subscription form.
In the Czech Republic, the subscription costs 189 kronor per month, or approximately 37 zlotys. In Slovakia, it costs less than 8 euros, so it’s almost identical.
All 380 Premier League matches shown
Subscribers to the Czech and Slovak Canal+ service can watch all 380 Premier League matches on Canal+ Sport. The VOD library will include products created or distributed by companies such as Prorom, ALL3Media, Freemantle Media and Paramount.
The package will also include the recently launched Canal + Action movie station, featuring action, sci-fi, thriller and horror films and series. Local productions are planned. One of them will be the TV series Dcera národa. Czechs and Slovaks have been able to watch the Polish crime series “Kruk” since the launch of the service.
