The world's largest cinema complex – confirmed by its entry into the Guinness Book of World Records – is located not in the United States, but just outside Hyderabad. The studio was established in 1996, when Ramoji Rao, the Indian media mogul and film producer, wanted to have his own Hollywood, a complex reminiscent of the golden age of American film.
