Biles won four gold medals and one silver at this year's world championships in Antwerp. In her previous participations in competitions of this rank, the 142 cm tall gymnast won as many as 23 gold medals.

The 26-year-old American received 353 votes. The next places were occupied by Kenyan runner Faith Kipyegon – 329 and Spanish football player Aitana Bunmati – 297.
Before Svetek, who received 203 votes, came American skier Mikaela Shiffrin – 256, and Ethiopian runner Tegist Assefa – 237.
The 36-year-old Djokovic is the world's number one, and 2023 has been another hugely successful year in his career. He won three Grand Slam tournaments: the Australian Open, the French Open, and the US Open.
The Serbian received 616 votes, ahead of Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis with 335 votes and Argentine Lionel Messi with 277 votes.
The Argentine national football team was chosen as the team of the year – for the second time in a row – by a majority of 666 votes.
405 journalists from press, radio, television, electronic media and photojournalists from 107 countries participated in the poll.
The International Federation of Sports Press, which will celebrate its centenary in 2024, was founded by journalists, including Poles, who covered the 1924 Olympics in Paris.
