After the huge success of the remakes of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4, Capcom is now focusing on the remakes of Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica. According to reports from Dusk Golem’s Twitter/X, both games are currently in development.
IGN confirms that Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica are the next two installments in the Resident Evil series to be released, though Capcom has yet to comment on this information – we wrote about it yesterday, but there was no concrete confirmation at the time.
Resident Evil Zero is a 2002 prequel that tells the story of the events leading up to the first game in the series. The player takes on the role of policewoman Rebecca Chambers and convicted former Recon Force officer Billy Quinn. Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster was released in 2016 and then on Nintendo Switch in 2019.
