It turns out that the devilish Miranda Priestly will be back in a new production, with Aline Brosh McKenna once again writing the script and Wendy Finerman likely once again directing! What do we know about the second part of “The Devil Wears Prada”?
We recently reported that the cast of the new project had yet to be confirmed, and Disney has yet to confirm any reports. But now we’ve learned that Anne Hathaway is indeed in talks to return for The Devil Wears Prada sequel, alongside other stars from the first film: Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci.
The media is still waiting for official confirmation from Disney.
A sequel has not been confirmed, but Booke has suggested some clues that might appear in the new film. In the new film, Priestley is still the head of Runway magazine, which has had to go through serious financial problems and now has to fight to stay in the publishing market.
The 2006 production allowed us to admire the great acting trio on screen: Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly, Emily Blunt as Emily Charlton, and Anne Hathaway as Andrea. The film is based on the book of the same name and focuses on Andrea, who dreams of one of the most coveted jobs in the publishing industry – being Miranda Priestly’s formidable assistant. The production received huge attention around the world and grossed over $200 million worldwide.
