Tottenham will likely sack Antonio Conte in the near future. Sky Sports reports that Ryan Mason will take over the Italian’s duties.
Conte’s contract with Tottenham runs until the end of this season. However, everything indicates that the coach will say goodbye to his post much sooner.
After the last round of the Premier League, Italy openly beat their players. He accused them of lack of commitment and selfishness and pointed out that Tottenham was already used to successive defeats.
Thus, Conte signed his sentence. The Telegraph reports that the 53-year-old is set to be released this week.
According to Sky Sports, Conte has already left England and returned to Italy. Tottenham are set to be in charge of tonight’s training session with Ryan Mason, who will be appointed caretaker manager.
Mason will take over as interim head coach for the second time in his career. In 2021, he led the team in seven matches, replacing the sacked Jose Mourinho. Then he recorded four wins and three losses.
Tottenham’s aim is to find a new full-time manager in the near future. The club has already been linked to m.in. Mauricio Pochettino or Luis Enrique, are currently unemployed.
