“About Oscar night. My biggest hope is that these two smart men have a chance to heal and talk to each other so they can compromise,” he said at the start of his talk show Red Table Talk on Wednesday.
“In the current state of the world, we need these two, and we need them all more than ever,” he continued.
In Wednesday’s episode, the stories of people living with alopecia, Jada’s living conditions, were discussed. At the Oscars in March, Chris Rock joked about Jada’s shaved head, which prompted Will Smith on stage to slap the comedian.

Because of his behavior, the Academy of Oscars banned Jada’s husband from attending future ceremonies for ten years.
After the incident, the actor publicly apologized to the comedian, saying “he responded emotionally” because “the jada joke was too much for him.”
He also resigned from the academy.
Two days after the ceremony, Jada broke the silence on social media with a message on Instagram: “This is a season of healing, for which I am here.”
She also said that she and her family will discuss the incident involving her husband in her talk show at the right time.
