“Doppelgänger. Doppelgänger”: About the film

The film takes viewers back to the early 1970s and 1980s, and its events take place on both sides of the Iron Curtain simultaneously. Hans (Gerzal) lives in the bustling city of Strasbourg, taking advantage of the opportunities the West offers. He integrates into the local community while also carrying out espionage activities. Bittner (Schuchardt) lives with his family in Gdańsk and works in a shipyard. The two men seem to have nothing in common, but the past hides a secret that forces them to confront their weaknesses and emotions. Both will face questions about their identity.

We will see on the screen together with Jakob Gerzal and Thomas Schuchardt, among others, Wiktoria Gorodikaja, Katarzyna Herrmann and Andrei Sewerin, as well as foreign stars – Emilie Koshy, Joachim Raf, Nathalie Richard and Jessica McIntyre. The film was shot on location in Warsaw, Wrocław, Gdynia, Gdańsk, Sopot, Bydgoszcz and Toruń.

To cinemas all over Poland “Similar. Similar.” It will be released on September 29th.
