Jacek Saryusz-Wolski confirmed, in an interview with Tomasz Sakiewicz, that “Poland’s position is growing”.
– This is evidenced by Eurostat data, according to which Warsaw is one of the richest regions in Europe. Rome and Berlin are poorer in this dimension of GDP per capita measured by purchasing power. Only twelve regions of Europe are the wealthiest. The conclusion is that Poland will follow Warsaw. Many fear this emancipation in Poland – as the European Parliament explains.
The per capita (i.e., per capita) purchasing power parity (i.e. purchasing power parity) in Warsaw (specifically in the Warsaw metropolitan area) amounted to $53,700 in 2021.

The MEP also spoke about the recent visit of the Japanese Prime Minister to Poland.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida visited Warsaw, where he met with Prime Minister Mateusz Murawiecki and President Andrzej Duda. After meeting with Prime Minister Murawiki, Kishida said that in view of the increasing burden of Russian aggression against Ukraine, Japan decided to treat Poland in a special way as an ODA recipient, even though at its level of economic development, Poland is not one of the countries receiving such assistance.
Japan is a master of symbolic gestures in foreign policy and diplomatic messages. At the beginning of its transformation, Poland was a recipient of Japanese aid, and now it is again a recipient at a different technological level. The claim of this declaration against Brussels is significant. Including Poland in the list of recipients of technologically advanced Japanese aid means that Japan is telling Europe: “Poland is taking too much burden to focus aid to Ukraine, you should help them, don’t give, just take it with you.” This is the language of diplomacy that must be understood in Brussels. Will conclusions be drawn? i doubt it
Later in the conversation, the European Parliament stressed that “admiration for Poland or annoyance at good achievements must translate into good treatment or may serve as a motive for further annoyances.”
– Poland intervening in the Eurasian project “Europe from Lisbon to Vladivostok”, Germany’s return to business as usual, further transformation of the EU into a superpower that might be able to befriend again, for example, with post-Putin Russia and distance itself from the States United, which is the dream of Paris and Berlin. After the summit of the European Council, where the leaders of all countries expressed their deep concern about Chinese policy, it soon became clear that, despite these concerns, Ursula von der Leyen joined forces with Emmanuel Macron and went to Beijing. I think it’s a race after Xi Jinping came to Vladimir Putin.”
