According to the first trailers, “Reptile” tells the story of detective Tom Nichols (played by Benicio del Toro), who is determined to kill a young real estate agent. “Nothing is as it seems, however, and the case leads him to discover deception in his life,” reads the short description prepared by Netflix.

The production was announced as a thriller and is the work of director Grant Singer. The cast includes Alicia Silverstone, Eric Bogosian, Ato Essandoh, Dominic Lombardozi, Michael Carmen Peet, in addition to the main character and Justin Timberlake.
