Kevin Bacon on the cast of “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley”

Kevin Bacon, whose movie “City on the Hill” is closing today, has joined the cast of the highly anticipated fourth installment of the Beverly Hills Cop series. It is not yet known who will play, but fans of the series have made a bet on the villain.

The script for “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley” was written by Will Beall (“Aquaman”) and behind the camera is Mark Molloy, who has so far worked mainly in the advertising industry. Hollywood has attracted attention thanks to a series of websites dedicated to Apple. Remember, “Beverly Hills Cop 4” was to be directed by Adel Elaraby and Bilal Falah (“Bad Boys for Life”). In the end, the gentlemen chose comic book adaptations under the Disney+ (“Ms Marvel”) and HBO Max (“Batgirl”) flags.

Eddie Murphy, of course, stars in the movie. His partners include Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylor Page. The film’s cast includes four well-known actors from the original cult from 1984: Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser and Bronson Pinchot. Jerry Bruckheimer is the producer.

The protagonist was the son of a policeman named Axel Foley, and the pilot episode was filmed by Barry Sonnenfeld.
