The Academy Award-winning actor has been charged with four sexual assaults against men, Rosemary Ainsley, head of the Special Prosecution Office of Crimes, said in a statement.
“He was also accused of causing a person to engage in a sexual act without the victim’s consent. These allegations follow a review of evidence collected by the Metropolitan Police in the investigation.”
20 men accuse Spacey
Spacey, one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, has been removed from the TV series “House of Cards” and removed from “All the Money in the World” after accusations of sexual harassment surfaced.
In November 2017, London-based Old Vic Theater reported that it had received 20 different signals regarding Spacey’s misconduct from 20 men who had been in contact with or associated with the theater (1995-2013).
The 62-year-old actor, who won the Academy Award for Best Male Actor in American Beauty and his supporting role in The Suspects, has previously denied all the accusations and maintained he is innocent.
