A few days ago, a match between the stars of Marcin Gortat’s team and the representation of the Polish army took place on the floor of the Atlas Arena in ód. Income from the event will be used to help Ukraine. Vitali Klitschko himself spoke about this.

And in the charity match, the Polish Army team won 77:74 with the star team Marcin Gortat. It included, among others, UFC player Jan Błachowicz, volleyball player Michał Kubiak, former tennis player Agnieszka Radwańska and fitness coach Ewa Chodakowska. The result, however, was a secondary matter.
Several thousand fans sat on the stands of the Atlas Arena in ód, and the match was held under the slogan “We play for Ukraine”.
The meeting was exceptional not only because of the help of the war-affected country, but also because the match between the team of Gortat and the team of the Polish army was played for the first time after a two-year break.

The initiative of the basketball game made Vitalij Klitschko smile. The legendary boxer, and now the mayor of Kyiv, recorded a video of thanks. Jan Błachowicz shared it all on Twitter.
– I am addressing you from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. I would like to thank you for organizing a basketball match, as well as thank all the Poles who support our compatriots and our people. We will never forget your support. Political, material and humanitarian aid and everything it does for our citizens. Glory to Poland. Glory to Ukraine – said Vitali Klitschko in the recording.
