Last season could have been the last in Artur Boruc’s professional career. According to “Przegląd Sportowy”, Legia Warszawa is already looking for a successor to the experienced goalkeeper. There are basically two names on the Polish heroes’ wishlist.
This season, the experienced goalkeeper has been struggling with injuries. Often replaced by Cezary Miszta, Kacper Tobiasz also got a chance to showcase his skills.
These two are undoubtedly talented, but in Warsaw they are looking for someone to give the team confidence among the publications. According to “Przegląd Sportowy”, Legia has two main candidates.
They are both known for their games at PKO Ekstraklasa and in the past months they have shown a very good side. These are Dante Stipica from Pogoń Szczecin and Vladan Kovacević from Raków Częstochowa.
Recently, the sporting director of Legia, Radoslav Kucharski, is visiting the match of the two teams. It was speculated that it might have to do with the idea of hiring Marek Babszon, but according to ‘Przegląd Sportowy’ it was a matter of looking at the goalkeepers.
It looks even more difficult to bring in Stipica, who recently extended her contract with Pogoń until 2026. Kovacevi has a two-year contract shorter, and his agent has already threatened that he could push for a move if the Bosnian does not play regularly for the Polish runner-up.
