Leonard Cohen’s estate has sold its list of songs to Hypnosis Song Management.

The transaction, its financial terms were not disclosed, the company led by Merck Mercurydis, based in Schaeferville, Quebec, announced on Saturday.
Hypnosis holds the rights to all 278 songs and other derivative works written by the Montreal singer-songwriter. Susanna, Cho Long Marion And Halejula.
He claims to own the royalties for songs he wrote from the beginning of Cohen’s career until 2000. He also received the singer’s royalty and publisher’s royalties for works composed from 2001 until his death in 2016.
“Being the custodian and producer of Leonard Cohen’s unparalleled songs is a wonderful, but very dangerous responsibility, and we wholeheartedly accept it and fully understand its importance,” Mercuryatis told the Softiket website.
Hipgnosis already holds lists of two former members of the Fleetwood Mac, Christine McVie and Lindsay Buckingam, Neil Young and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
