As the festivities continue for a second weekend from August 11 to 13, the event’s spokesperson, Mathieu Dufour aka Math Duff, promises the trip is worth the effort.
Several artists are expected this weekend, including Ne-yo and Claudia Bouvette on Saturday.
“I did a custom show for the party, so I have the band. We’re here to really hype up the festival goers before Claudia and Ne-Yo come to do their show,” explained Math Duff in an interview with TVA Nouvelles.
One of the highlights of the festival was the presence of Cowboys Fringeants, where the group was shown a genuine wave of love among the festival goers.
“Honestly, the atmosphere on site was magical, everyone was so excited and happy to see the Cowboys perform… We know that with the singer’s treatments, many shows have been cancelled, so having them in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu was overrated. Everyone sang, everyone joined the group. Energized,” said Matt Duff.
To the surprise of some, the spokesperson for the event received a kazoo.
“It’s a tradition at cowboy shows, they throw kazoos around the room, into the crowd, and the first one was thrown, and I was enjoying the show, and I threw it. Caught, in mid-air. I fired a group like I was 16,” he laughed.

A lucky Kazoo player considers himself happy that there have been no complaints from his neighbours.
“I try to keep it within reasonable hours, and I put it off after 11 p.m.,” she says.
