How can a single word create a storm and spark a wave of negative reactions? GameStop found out this week when it accidentally changed one word in the name “Xbox Game Pass,” angering Microsoft fans and PlayStation supporters.
This week we reported on the presentation of GameStop, which mentioned Microsoft Game Pass in one of its materials. Given the circumstances and rumors about the Redmond giant's new strategy, some players suggested that the company would publish the name prematurely, and next week Phil Spencer will officially confirm his resignation from Xbox and announce a new version of Game Pass.
After unleashing the chaos, GameStop quickly deleted the message, but a day later we could count on a reaction and some sort of explanation for the error. The store introduced the Xbox Game Pass offer, emphasizing that it meant “definitely Xbox.”

Considering recent reports, it has to be admitted that the bug was very unfortunate and, not without reason, had Xbox fans wondering what the future of Microsoft Gaming would look like, and enthusiasts of the rival platform got another chance to mock the game. Another camp.
It's hard to say clearly what the Redmond company's plan, which Phil Spencer will present next week, will look like, but we shouldn't expect a sudden abandonment of the Xbox brand.
