“Full of sadness, we share the passing of our most caring and amazing football agent,” the company said in a statement posted to Raioli’s Twitter account.
“Mino fought to the end with the same energy that he did at the negotiating table when he tried to protect his players,” he added.
Al-Wakeel’s family signed the statement, which was published in English and Italian.

The Italian was nicknamed the “Football Shark” because he was considered one of football’s most powerful agents. He dealt with the interests of, among others, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba or Erling Haaland.
