Motorola edge 50 neo smartphone test – this is the true successor of the edge 30 neo! Practical design is just one of the advantages

In April of this year, Motorola presented its new Edge 50 series of devices, which included three different models: a compact mid-budget model, a slightly more advanced Pro, and a high-end Ultra. We had the opportunity to test the last two of them. They turned out to be very attractive, but today we can say that they did not really conquer the market due to their relatively high prices and minor shortcomings in the specifications. Moreover, it cannot be denied that the competition in the higher segments is not only very strong, but also provides much longer software support. However, Motorola has not yet said the last word. The edge 50 neo model has just gone on sale.

The “neo” note should have good associations with people already familiar with the offer of this manufacturer. All this is due to the almost two-year-old Edge 30 neo, which from the moment of its first presentation has been seducing consumers with its small dimensions, interesting design, good camera, support for wireless charging and, more recently, a very attractive price. During recent promotions, you could get this smartphone for just a few hundred and we recommended it in our ratings. But today it has become more difficult to get one, and there are no mid-range compacts … yet! Motorola edge 50 neo seems to be the long-awaited successor to the just described model, although the edge 40 neo was also available for sale a year ago.

The Motorola edge 50 neo looks like a real successor to the now almost famous edge 30 neo. The new smartphone is primarily distinguished by its compact design, powerful camera set and up to 5 years of system support. Sounds like a recipe for successful sales!

The Motorola edge 50 neo has a flat 6.4-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 2670 x 1220 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is also worth noting the very thin frames around the panel and its dimensions of 154.1 x 71.2 x 8.1 mm – as you can see, it is a very useful smartphone, and at the moment there are not many devices that can be called that. Everything is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 system supported by 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. The specifications tell us that the smartphone has a very promising set of cameras. We have a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 700C main unit, as well as a 10-megapixel telephoto lens and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle unit. On the front there is a 32-megapixel camera. It is also worth noting the relatively small 4310 mAh battery that supports 68W fast charging and wireless charging.
