A new adaptation of the famous novel by Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz The film will be directed by Michal Gazda, who will be making his debut as a feature film director. Marcin Baczyński and Mariusz Kuczewski are responsible for the script. The film’s producer is Magdalena Szodkovic.

The fact that I was able to confront this legend in the third version of “Znachor” was definitely a big challenge associated with a greater sense of responsibility. Two film adaptations of the famous novel by Tadeusz Dolga-Mostovic have already been made – from 1937 to 1982. Most viewers associate the film adaptation of the 1980s by Jerzy Hoffmann, in which, among others, they starred. Tomasz Stockinger, Artur Parsis, and Piotr Wronczewski. “Znachor” from 1937 was filmed by Michał Waszyński. Kazimierz Junosza-Stępowski played the main role in the film. The film also got a sequel. “Professor Wilczor”, which tells the story of the doctor’s return to work after regaining his memory.
