Nia DaCosta on the supernatural fatigue of cinema
After Avengers: Endgame topped the global box office in 2019, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is facing a decline in audience interest. Subsequent products no longer guarantee distributors record profits. In an interview with Total Film magazine, Nia DaCosta, who directed Marvels, admitted that audience fatigue from superhero cinema is a phenomenon she notes.
