Previously, since 2017, Obajetek was President of the Energa Group, and in 2016-2017 he headed the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture. In the years 2006-2015 Obajetek was mayor of Pcim Municipality in Lesser Poland.

Board changes are proactive steps before the inevitable anyway.

PKN Orlen held an extraordinary general meeting on February 6. At the request of the State Treasury, changes will also be made on that day in the composition of the Company's Supervisory Board, which will then enable changes to be made in the Board of Directors.

The State Treasury has nominated the following persons as candidates for members of the Orlen Supervisory Board: Michal Gajdos, Ewa Gasiorek, Katarzyna Lubos, Kazimierz Mordaszewski, Mikołaj Pietrzak, Wojciech Popiolek, Irenius Sitarski, Tomasz Sojka, and Tomasz Zielinski.

The company's shareholder, Nationale-Nederlanden Otwarty Fundusz Emerytalny, has nominated Jan Woźniak to an independent member of the company's supervisory board.
