In a few days, the best NVIDIA Ada Lovelace graphics card will be available for sale – of course we are talking about the GeForce RTX 4090, we are already testing the card and will be publishing all the performance results soon. Next month, NVIDIA plans to introduce two more systems – the GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB and the GeForce RTX 4070 molded in the form of the GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB. The first performance results for the first model appeared on the web.
The Chinese ChipHell forum has been enriched by the first performance results for the 16GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 – we got acquainted with the details of the AD103 and AD104 cores, which were used in Ada Lovelace systems
The 16GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card was tested in 3DMark, more specifically in the Fire Strike Ultra, Time Spy Extreme, and Port Royal tests, and in the 3DMark XeSS feature test. In 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra, the card scored 17,465 points, which is about 20% higher than the results of the best NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti card (~14 thousand points). In the case of 3DMark Time Spy, the Ada Lovelace model on the graphics test scored 13,977 points, which is about 23% more than the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, whose scores hover around 10,700. In 3DMark Port Royal, a test using Ray Tracing, the Ada Engineering Representative scored 17,607 points, nearly 16% better than the best non-reference GeForce RTX 3090 Ti models.

We already have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition card in the PurePC editorial office – tests are underway and will be released in …
In addition, XeSS technology was tested on a GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB. In a separate 3DMark test, the score on native 4K resolution was 76.5 fps, while using XeSS in Ultra Quality mode, the frame rate increased to just under 101 fps. The first performance tests also appeared in games, more specifically in Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Red Dead Redemption 2. The first of these games used both RT and DLSS in quality mode (4K resolution upgraded), while the first was in RDR 2 with quality DLSS (115 fps), the other without DLSS but also on ultra settings (87.6 fps) and also in 4K. All tests were conducted on a platform with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor.
