Oscars: What categories return to broadcast?
I can confirm that the broadcast will cover all categories, announced Bill Kramer, President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. We want to create a show that celebrates cinema craftsmen, the art of cinema and film collaboration. This is the mission of the Academy. I hope we will be able to show respect to all components of cinema in an engaging and engaging way.
The Academy Awards in eight categories were not shown live during this year’s broadcast. They were: Best Short Film, Best Documentary Short Film, Best Animated Short Film, Best Editing, Best Makeup, Best Music, Best Scenography and Best Sound. Last year, the Polish film “The Dress,” directed by Tadeusz Sisiak, was nominated for the “Best Short Film” category.
Kramer admitted that since his appointment as chair, he has had a number of discussions about bringing back deleted classes. We’re excited to be able to do thisadded.
What awaits us during the ninety-fifth Academy Awards?
Jimmy Kimmel will host the Oscars. The presenter and comedian already has experience hosting celebrations: this will be his third appearance in the role. I’m glad someone with live TV experience would be hosting the event. I think this is very importantKramer said.
What can we expect from this year’s ceremony? I’ll just reveal that the 95th Jubilee version is very important to us. I think we’re laying interesting ground for the 100th edition. This is evident in our museum: we’re able to celebrate our heritage while leading the Academy into the future. The next concert will be a reflection of thatKramer promises.
The ceremony will take place on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
