British singer Peter Gabriel announced a North American tour on Tuesday, his first solo in more than 10 years, that will take him to Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto and Ottawa in September. He also revealed Playing timeNew single from the album i/oComing later this year.
For the occasion, he reunites with music legend Robert LePage, with whom he has already collaborated three times. The theater man is acting as a consultant on Peter Gabriel’s new tour and is currently in London with him, according to Danny Martell, Diamond’s director of communications.
Robert LePage first worked with Peter Gabriel in 1993 Secret World Tour. The latter made him look like Robert LePage by co-producing six years later Zulu time, the versatile show of Ex Machina. The duo teamed up again in 2002 for a tour growing up By Peter Gabriel.
The former Genesis frontman’s new tour adds to a series of concerts in Europe that he will begin in May. Along with his musicians Tony Levin, David Rhodes and Manu Gatse, Peter Gabriel plays new songs. i/o As well as audience favorites from his set, along with a few surprises.
The band will make stops at the Videotron Center in Quebec (September 8), the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa (September 9), the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto (September 11) and the Bell Center in Montreal (September 13).
Playing time The third part from i/o To come, then Panopticon And Court. Until the release of the album, new songs will be released every month during the full moon.
Tickets for Peter Gabriel concerts in North America go on sale Friday at 10am. Fans will have access to the pre-sale through the Circle of Peter Gabriel Fans newsletter starting this Tuesday.
