Qualified PGG Charcoal Suppliers – Will They Be?
In order to provide coal at the prices set by PGG and to avoid what is often unfair, driving up coal prices for middlemen, a network of qualified coal suppliers was scheduled to start operating in August. They had to replace the approved coal depots and operate on a concession basis. PGG remains the owner of the coal sold in the warehouse of the Qualified Coal Supplier Network and it will be PGG that will set the coal prices. In June, it was announced that the recruitment of warehouses interested in entering into the coal sale scheme of PGG mines was announced. The call for applications expired on 27 June.
Our sales experience to date convinces us that the optimal solution would be the additional distribution of coal through the online store with the simultaneous improvement of the logistics of receiving goods thanks to the implementation of standardized transportation services. By offering the formula of qualified coal suppliers, we will ensure a uniform standard of logistics and ensure the lowest possible transportation rates – explains Thomas Rugala, President of PGG.
The network of qualified coal suppliers is not yet operational. The company informs that all notifications are still being checked.
Bogusław Ziętek, President of Sierpnia 80, claims that PGG-qualified coal suppliers do not and never will be. He believes that it is impossible to meet the requirements of PGG for partners. This is ia the obligation to monitor, secure or appropriate infrastructure.
The union also warns that this winter there will certainly be a shortage of coal for individual consumers and municipalities in Poland.
