Less than 24 hours after the film’s world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, director Sophie Dupuis released her third film. separateMonday evening at the Cinema Imperiale to the Montreal public.

The filmmaker walked the red carpet in the company of several of his film’s stars, including his favorite actor Theodore Pellerin.
Sophie Dubuis’s third film (after WatchdogD Underground), separate It tells the story of Simon (Pellerin), a rising star in Montreal’s drag scene, who falls madly in love with Olivier (Félix Maritaud), a new hire at the bar where he works.
The film will be screened at the opening ceremony of the Quebec City Film Festival on Thursday. separate It will then hit theaters across the province on Friday.
