PKO Ekstraklasa: Raków defeated Silesia in the battle on the podium. Evie Lopez is a hero

Celesia could have been the runner-up at the PKO Ekstraklasa table after the previous round, but she didn’t take her chance. Wroclaw lost in Bialystok with Jagiellonia 0: 1.

In the last round, Raku drew 0-0 at home with Bogo Szczecin. Marek Babszon’s team lost eighth in the table to Jagiellonia.

It’s been this season’s cup champions’ confrontation even from the start, although Marek Babszon’s players have faced more specific situations. Most of all, Evie Lopez was active, repeatedly frightening the hosts with a pass or shot on goal Zromnik.

The inhabitants of Wroclaw had problems creating a situation, and Eric Exposito was getting lost in the attack. The score was 0-0 until the end of the first half, although it seemed that the goals in this match were only a matter of time.

The deadlock was only broken in the 64th minute of the match. Ivi Lopez added to the unattended Gutkowskis, who did not give Szromnik a chance. Already after 5 minutes, the hero was again Lopez, who received a good pass from Latvia and ran into the penalty area, and then hit the goal with a powerful shot. This season, Ivi Lopez is the true captain of Raków, but he is also a defining figure in the entire league – he scored the sixth goal and fourth assist of the season, making him the unofficial Canadian PKO Ekstraklasa rating leader.

Rako dominated the field events, but was surprised after 6 minutes of the second goal. Exposito fought in the penalty area, but eventually ran to Praszelik in a better position, who defeated Kovacevi with a fine shot.
