Marcin Dorna will help Cezary Kuleza in the final selection of the new Polish national team coach, according to Sport.pl’s Kacper Sosnowski.
It is likely that we will know the name of the new coach of the Polish national team on Wednesday, September 20. On that day, the Board of Directors of the Polish Football Association meets under the chairmanship of Cesare Kuleza.
As Sport.pl’s Jakub Siwerin reported earlier, the list of activists includes three names – Marek Babzon, Michal Probers and Jan Orban. The best chances are given to the top two, but who will be chosen in the end? This is unknown. Piotr Koźmiński of Sportowefakty.pl writes that behind the scenes there is still no agreement on who will choose the federation’s president.
Meanwhile, Kacper Sosnowski provided interesting information.
“He will help in the selection of the national team… Marcin Durna. The sports director of PZPN will prepare a report on the candidates, which will be presented at a meeting with members of the board of directors. I would love to read it ;)” – wrote journalist Sport.pl.
Coliza asked Dorna, a former coach of the junior and youth national teams, to prepare a report. It can include the strengths and weaknesses of the candidates, details of their work, and the concept of the game.
It remains to be seen how much influence this document will have on the choice of coach. Coliza is scheduled to have dinner on Tuesday with his colleagues, which may provide some answers, but the matter may not become clear before Wednesday.
