This is the case of Olivier Bernard, Justin and David Blanchett and Tommy Gagne from Quebec who arrived at the entrance of the Bell Stage at 5:20 this Friday morning. For years fans have wanted to be in the front row for a performance by the New York State artist.
“I don’t think I’ll be walking forward,” Tommy says, referring to the traditional “chicken run” of festival-goers who want the best seats.
“I don’t take time to laugh,” he continues jokingly.
Oliver can’t wait to see his favorite artist perform. Tonight will be his fourth appearance at one of his concerts.

In the city, many admirers of the singer were walking near the Plains of Abraham, bracelets on their wrists.
Tommy Blouin, Marie-Hélène Paquet and Jean-Sébastien Bellemare chose to wait and rest on the terrace before queuing to access the platform. If their choice of dress confirmed their love for their favorite singer, it was only with a bit of prudence that they chose to keep their bodies in shape for this epic evening.
“Hungry, it is important to eat well beforehand [la longue attente]. That’s what we have to do if we’re going to stay until the end of the show and avoid heat stroke,” underlines Tommy, wearing a bandana on his head.
