“Kajtek the Wizard” is a new look at Janusz Korzak’s cult book
Magdalena Lazarkiewicz’s film was based on the famous 1934 novel by Janusz Korzak called “Kailo the Magician”. It tells the story of Kajtek (Eryk Biedunkiewicz) – a somewhat rebellious boy raised by his father (Grzegorz Damięcki) and grandmother (Maja Komorowska). At some point, the child discovers that he has supernatural abilities. It soon turns out that magical powers are not only an amazing talent, but also a huge nuisance.
This is a very universal story suitable for young and old. It stands out against the background of contemporary youth cinema primarily by demonstrating timeless values such as brotherhood, honesty and truth.
