Carol Baum on Sidney Sweeney: “She's not pretty and she can't act.”
During an interview after the screening of the movie “Without Love,” Baum commented on the actress’s phenomenon. She said :- I don't understand the Sidney Sweeney phenomenon. I wanted to watch one of her movies on the plane. I wanted to know who she was and why everyone was talking about her.
The producer chose the latest romantic comedy “Just Not You -“ I watched this unwatchable movieAnd I apologize to everyone who liked it. This is a romantic comedy where a couple hates each other. I asked my students:Explain this to me. The girl is not beautiful, she cannot play. Why is everyone talking about it?“.
We didn't have to wait long to get the answer. A person representing Sweeney shared a statement that read:
How sad that a woman who could share knowledge and experience from her position chose to attack another woman instead. If this is an example of behavior she has learned from decades of working in the film industry and believes is worth teaching to her students, then there is no need to be ashamed of it. That another woman and producer was unfairly belittled says a lot about Ms. Baum's character.
