PlayStation 5 has received its latest system update. The Japanese giant is implementing more changes that may interest many users.
Sony doesn’t forget about the PS5. Despite the very promising reports about the PS5 Pro for several days, Japanese engineers are still monitoring the compatibility of the console system currently on the market. In June, the company finally implemented the previously announced integration with Discord, thanks to which players got much easier access to voice chat, but that was not the end of the changes.
The PS5 has received its latest firmware update. The file package, numbered 24.05-09.60.00.04-00.00.00.0.1, takes up 1,193 GB and includes several interesting features.
First, PS5 players can invite others to a gaming session by sharing a URL — the latest option will be rolling out gradually to all consoles. US and UK users can also open help tabs using voice commands. It’s worth noting, however, that the new product is only available in English.
With the latest update, Sony has improved the stability and performance of the standard system and select DualSense controllers, as well as made improvements to messaging and screen usability. A detailed description of all the changes can be found below.
Release: 05/24-09/60/00
You can invite other players to your game session by sharing the session URL with them.
To invite other players, open the Game Session Action tab and select Share Link. Then scan the QR code with your mobile device to share the link.
This feature is only available for open sessions that anyone can join.
This feature will be gradually rolled out to all players by July 24th.
Voice commands now give you the ability to open in-game help tabs. To do this, you need to say “Show game help”.
Currently, Voice Command (Preview) is only available in English for players with PlayStation Network accounts in the US and UK.
