After losing to Novak Djokovic in the second round of the Olympic tournament, Rafael Nadal was asked about the end of his career. This made him very angry. – When I finish the Games, I will think about what to do next. He added: “I think I deserve to do it the way I want.”

Rafael Nadal’s beautiful career is definitely coming to an end. Although the 38-year-old from Mallorca has been appearing on the court more often in recent weeks, he is still suffering from health problems and is far from the performances he showed in his best days.

On Monday, Nadal lost to Novak Djokovic 1-6, 4-6 in the second round of the Paris Olympics. It was certainly his farewell singles match at the Olympics. But would it be his last? That’s exactly what Cadena Ser journalist Nadal asked him. Clearly, the question made him angry.

“When I know if I will end my career, I will tell you,” he replied angrily. “I cannot analyze every day whether this is my last match or not.”

“I look forward to the future. When I finish playing in the Olympics, I will think about what I will do next,” he added. “I think I deserve to do it the way I want to do it.”

After the singles defeat, Nadal still has to play doubles in Paris. Mallorca and partner Carlos Alcaraz face Dutch duo Tallon Griekspoor/Wesley Koolhof on Tuesday.
