Rebel Moon and the Army of the Dead create a shared world. Zack Snyder’s communications explained. New trailer coming. Netflix.

Zack Snyder loves creating new cinematic worlds, the best examples of which are 2021’s Army of the Dead and the upcoming Rebel Moon. Both series were supposed to provide Netflix with new productions for years, but plans changed. Army of the Dead was abandoned after two films and an unfinished prequel series. However, Snyder wants to give the series a second life and has officially confirmed that it shares a common universe with the upcoming Rebel Moon.

The character Rebel Moon was supposed to appear in Army of the Dead

The Army of the Dead has an extensive mythology that is never shown in the film. The Army of the Dead animated series, which we never finished, was supposed to feature a Rebel Moon character.

Work on Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas has been put on hold, but in this production Zack Snyder wanted to put one of the characters we will see in Rebel Moon. The director explained that we will be able to meet the hero in a bar scene from his upcoming film.

At some point in the series, characters pass through a portal to another dimension and meet other characters there. In Rebel Moon, they’re in this bar and there’s this alien, one of the characters that was supposed to be in the Army of the Dead series. So it’s definitely a shared world.

It has also been confirmed that the first part of Rebel Moon will see another trailer next Sunday, November 12. To make the wait for the new material more enjoyable for viewers, Netflix has released the following poster for its exciting offering.
