Rebel Wilson is a victim of inappropriate behavior on the set. The actress talks about the details of the situation and the steps taken
In an interview with People, Wilson admitted that she was a victim of harassment on the set. A representative with her, she did not name, had to call her into the room and then took off her pants. And again, in the presence of his friends, he encouraged her to perform lewd acts. The actress said she did her best to let people in the industry know what happened. Unfortunately, before the emergence of the #MeToo movement, it didn’t do much, but it did expose itself to retaliation against the assailant. It was an attempt to destroy her and ruin her career.
Wilson, who graduated in law from the University of New South Wales, used her knowledge to document the incident. After she lodged a formal complaint with her agency and the studio responsible for producing the film, she learned that other people had also reported inappropriate behavior on the part of her assailant.
I found out that I am about the fourth person to complain about this man. His behavior was disgusting, but many women have gone through something much worse – She said. So far, she has not received an official response to her request. She was even asked why she chose to continue working “with this awful man”. I should have left. It wasn’t worth it – She confessed. But at the same time, I thought, “Okay, do the right thing, be professional, and get the movie done.” Now in my life, I wouldn’t agree to that. If a similar situation should happen now, I will defend myself even more because of the courage of the women who broke the silence, who gave me this opportunity.
